The 15th European Union Film Festival is back to Malaysia and this year, the UK is bringing you 'Exit Through the Gift Shop' - the world's first Street Art disaster movie by famed street guerilla artist Banksy.

Banksy is a graffiti artist with a global reputation whose work can be seen on walls from post-hurricane New Orleans to the separation barrier on the Palestinian West Bank. He fiercely guards his anonymity to avoid prosecution. An eccentric French shop keeper turned documentary maker attempts to locate and befriend Banksy, only to have the artist turn the camera back on its owner. Includes footage of Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Space Invader and many of the world’s most infamous graffiti artists at work, on walls and in interview. As Banksy describes it, "It's basically the story of how one man set out to film the un-filmable. And failed."

Lagu yang berdurasi 2:48 minit ini ditulis dan diterbitkan sepenuhnya oleh Melina William, vokalis dan bassist band Tempered Mental. Ianya bermula dengan Melina berkongsi lagu ini melalui iPodnya kepada Liyana yang menarik perhatian Liyana untuk menyumbangkan vokalnya. Trek ini disifatkan oleh Liyana sebagai sesuatu yang jujur, hipnotik dan menggegar jiwa.

GODFLESH return with Decline & Fall EP / A World Lit Only By Fire

Justin K Broadrick's most-recognized band, the influential and innovative GODFLESH - who formed in 1998 with bassist Ben Green, disbanded in 2002 and reformed in 2010 present Decline & Fall, 4 brand new tracks on a 23 minute mini album. It will be made in cassette, vynil and CD via Avalanche Recordings.

Also available is A WORLD LIT ONLY BY FIRE, the first new long player from GODFLESH since 2001's Hymns which saw the band implode and then eventually split up following its release. The band reformed in early 2010, and has gone on to play many renowned festivals worldwide coupled with minimal but solid touring. Since the reformation new material has slowly but very surely been both discussed and worked on, although Justin K Broadrick stated that the eagerness to release new music should not be overcome by the band's new found popularity. This album, like the Decline & Fall EP that came before it, have been works in progress for almost 2 years.

"The music speaks entirely for itself, this is pure GODFLESH, as the concept was originally intended; minimal, brutal, dissonant, driven by machines yet paradoxically dominated by organic and harsh down tuned guitars and bass, clean dub inflected vocals offset against harsh raging minimal shouts, and this is not to forget the worship of the omnipresent groove. Although the band could now be considered mature, and often with this maturity comes peace, this album has been perceived as the most aggressive and consistently fierce release in the band's career, something that the band are very proud of."

Themes of futile battles against the institutions that control our everyday lives, social conditioning, submitting and resigning oneself to the savage within, slavery and the abuse of power permeate and fuel these songs. GODFLESH is Justin K Broadrick's yin to jesu's yang.

Terdahulu Mogwai mengumumkan EP terbaru 'Music Industry 3. Fitness Industry 1.' yang juga merupakan rilisan bervokal selepas mereka lebih sinonim sebagai band instrumental (namun dalam rilisan-rilisan mereka yang terdahulu tetap ada sekurang-kurangnya sebuag trek dengan vokal). [ULASAN MUZIK] How to Destroy Angels - Welcome Oblivion (2013)

How to Destroy Angels (HTDA) pada awalnya saya lihat menjanjikan sesuatu yang mungkin sedikit dapat mengalihkan perhatian saya pada Nine Inch Nails yang direhatkan Trent Reznor (telah kembali semula tour dengan album baru September 2013). Bila mendapat trek "Ice Age" dengan penguasaan vokal Mariqueen Mandiig dan lebih akustik gaya Fleetwood Mac, saya harap yang saya takkan gunakan perkataan NIN lagi dalam ulasan ini, nyata saya silap. Saya hampir lupa yang saya pernah sebut HTDA boleh dibaratkan sebagai kembar perempuan bagi NIN dengan sisi kewanitaannya. Tapi trek seperti "And The Sky Began To Scream" datang bukan saja dengan muzik NIN  seperti rakaman album gaya The Fragile tetapi dengan vokal Trent Reznor sekali di hujungnya. Ianya total NIN kalau anda buang vokal Mariqueen dan tidak dibertahu siapa yang membawakan lagu ini. Begitu juga dengan trek "Strings and Attractors" yang seperti meminjam melodi dan nota-nota dari trek NIN, "The Line Begins to Blur" cuma dengan manipulasi elektronik yang berbeza. HTDA sedikit tak berhaluan tetap sedangkan apabila ia memasuki fasa album penuh kita harapkan ia sudah ketemu haluan sendiri. Penyelamat album ini saya kira trek "How long?", single utamanya yang ada jiwanya. Saya juga sarankan kalian cari album runut bunyi filem The Book fo Eli untuk mengkaji sedikit pembawaan muzik salah seorang anggota HTDA, Atticus Ross yang juga berpaksikan elektronik seperti Trent Reznor tetapi sering dibayangi oleh Trent apabila menghasilkan duo bersama dengan nama ini. Kalian tunggu ulasan saya untuk album baru NIN, mungkin saya akan kata muzik baru NIN dah macam muzik HTDA pula. Oh, ironi... [ Label: Columbia Records ]
