Isnin lalu 17 Ogos sekitar 5:30 petang di Galeri Petronas, Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah berkenan mencemar duli melancarkan Pameran Lukisan dan Ukiran yang dihasilkan oleh pelukis dan pengukir terkenal Itali, Olviero Rainaldi.
Pameran yang dinamakan TWINS itu dilancarkan baginda Sultan di Galeri Petronas, KLCC Kuala Lumpur dan dibuka kepada orang ramai bermula 18 Ogos hingga 4 Oktober 2015.
TWINS menampilkan 30 hasil sentuhan seni luar biasa merangkumi lukisan dan ukiran Rainaldi.
Tentang pameran TWINS :Twins: Works by Oliviero Rainaldi exhibition will feature more than 20 astonishing artworks comprising of sculpture’s figure and material, sketches and oil paintings. The highlight of the exhibition will be the extraordinary Maserati's 100th Anniversary commissioned; ‘Neptune in the Wind' sculpture. The exhibition will take place at Galeri PETRONAS from 18 August until 4 October, 2015. Oliviero Rainaldi’s works feature a simple style, flowing lines, classical beauty, refined composition and a condensed yet dynamic form.
The works on exhibit in the Twins collection possess their own specificity, yet in close relation, metaphors each other, and their equivalency is based on their opposition, as twins, similar but not identical: the horizontal and the vertical,the plenty and the void, immersing and emerging,presence and absence, intimacy and manifestation, taking and returning, that which is hidden and that which is unveiled, the sea and the mountain. The concepts of wind and suspension, which united in a particular way to the concept of dynamism play a fundamental role and are expressed in the large backlit bas relief "Neptune in the Wind " created on commission by Maserati on the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the founding of the Italian car manufacturer.
