Dan ia tak mencacatkan perjalanan semasa menonton kedua-dua filem ini, terutama sekali GOTG which I enjoyed the most sebab I studied and like the indie works of James Gunn before he went on to became this summer blockbuster movie director. GOTG had the best intro title Marvel ever made and I'm glad they picked James to do the work or else the movie would become bland.
Nota: James Gunn baru dipecat dati mengarah GotG 3 kerana kes Twitter lamanya. I hope the upcoming GotG movie sucks big time. And fuck you Disney.
I also liked The Winter Soldier and it lives up to its hype of being a techno thriller Marvel movie sebab aku tak minat sangat Captain America The First Avenger (itupun aku tak tengok kat panggung... The first Thor movie pun sama juga, aku tengok kat komputer. Heck, even aku baru khatam The Incredible Hulk played by Edward Norton, the actor that I like but it took me some time, wait, a long time to finish the movie in one go. ), but oh my... How they make everything totally different with The Winter Soldier by employing Russo bros of Arrested Development fame to craft the movie while retain Cap the same as a Marvel character you love or hate. (Did i mention the killer industrial tinged score composed by Henry Jackman?).
But back then, I ain't gonna write this kind of feed and feed it on my Facebook because the hype isn't there anymore on the third week. I have to search for this two movies thread specifically on our movie group to do some recapture why it's such an awesome movies. There's no kind of mutual sharing or late movie review because people move on to other things. So, i keep it to myself. Even if the movie is not up to my interest, i don't go abroad by broadcasting a feed telling the interwebs "Hey, fuck off! Aku tak tengok lah Infinity War!" on its first public releases day for the sake of attention sebab I remember when I shared about Spawn: Blood & Shadow (a fucking brilliant graphic novel work by Paul Jenkins and Ashley Wood), no one give a damn either.
I still go to my favourite bookplaces all alone while watching other couples take a jab on DC/Vertigo's Fables trade paperback at the comic shelves with some drama happening (the boyfriend hate his nerd comic book loving girlfriend who appreciate the works of Brian K Vaughn while people ask me to save the damnsel).
I don't know why I put it here, this kind of thoughts, on my blog. When no one is reading.
Probably just to fuck you up.
So, people. Let's embrace, the first week of public releases of Avengers: Infinity War, where people went around, alerting spoilers or not.
Like I care.
Nota: Sepatutnya saya post menda alah ini pada saat saya keluar dari panggung usai tayangan pratonton untuk pihak media, dengan ulasan ringkas "menangis macam Legends of the Fall" sebelum dibuli-siber oleh kekasih yang cynical bastard sebagai 'murah air mata' dan betapa dia sedang bertabah dengan the fenomena Infinity War untuk tempoh 2 minggu ni. We're both geeks, actually, but I think we seek comfort in discussing about the old 90's Power Rangers versus the latest 2017 Power Rangers with Brian Cranston better than anything Marvel.
